Throwing the bride’s bouquet sparks a wild fight between women: ‘Pathetic’

They were made unbridled over the bride’s blouses.

Just moments after a pair of lovebirds exchanged vows, a group of I Do’s guests exchanged blows, fiercely fighting over the bride’s bouquet.

“These women would win wrestling medals at the Olympics,” teased one social media commenter, via What’s The Jam, stunned by the reckless ferocity.

Petals flew, dresses were ruined and hairdos were thrown out of place on Monday when a Bosnian bride tossed her bouquet back at a group of bachelorette friends during the reception.

And while undignified, fighting over a newlywed’s flowers isn’t a new craze.

For centuries, women hoping to be the next to walk down the aisle have jostled over the newlywed’s bouquet. The tradition, which began in the United Kingdom during the 1800s, dictated that the lucky lady planting the flowers would marry soon after.

But to avoid a WWE-style clash between married couples, some brand new women pre-select a bachelor to whom they wish to pass the coveted torch. Recent bride Chloe Robinson skipped the big drama of the day and handed her bouquet straight to her mom, whose boyfriend at the time promptly got down on one knee and popped the big question.

Tragically, not all boys are fans of the ritual.

A wedding guest in Millbrook, Alabama, kicked him out after his girlfriend grabbed the bag of flowers, proving he was absolutely not ready to tie the knot.

Fierce attendees at the Bosnian party this week, however, made it painfully clear that they weren’t just ready for marriage, they were ready for battle.

As soon as one woman grabbed the bouquet, two others scrambled for the pink arrangement. A tug of war ensued, causing the trio to fall to the floor in their glittering evening gowns.

The wrestling turned wild as the DJ and several spectators asked the girls to give up the fight. But the ragtag gang of sluggers just couldn’t be stopped.

“If I was a boy at that wedding, I would have quietly disappeared,” quipped one online critic.

“Once they’re in the park, it becomes a matter of principle not to let go,” said one particular spectator, who appeared to sympathize with the brutes.

“What pathetic women,” said one cynic. “But I’m curious how it ended, who won in the end and what they looked like after all that.”
